For all you college students or graduates out there... what do (did) you do for breakfast?
because the food in the cafeteria in the morning is horrible... no nutrition whatsoever. I need something that'll keep me going for a while. And I have no access to a kitchen.
Any ideas?
thx.

I used to eat instant oatmeal. I also liked Kashi Go Lean Crunch which kept me feeling full. If your professor gives you breaks, pack granola bars in your bag/purse. They are cheap, quick to eat, and healthy.
I used to have crackers, nutra-grain bars or granola bars and poptarts... haha, I mean, you don't get THAT much nutrition from them, but it is better than the crap they serve in the dining hall. Also had a minifridge so I could grab an orange juice... I swear orange juice is the best morning beverage. (For me anyway...) Plus!! When you're in college, lots of sickness goes around, the OJ helps your immune system a bit :)
You can mix and match a lot of stuff together so you aren't hungry in class. I like nutrigrain and granola bars, cereal with fruit, instant grits or oatmeal, toaster strudel, yogurt, and those Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches. It kinda depends on what you have in your room. Most of those require a microwave or fridge/freezer. Hope that helps give you some ideas at least.
I always grabbed a bagel and cream cheese on the way. It's cheap, easy, and (fairly) nutritious. If you want some protein, you can always add a yogurt or a bar!
Hope your first few days of college are going well!
You could try whole wheat bagels with peanut butter, that's generally what I eat for lunch (not in college, and not a morning person). Those would weather well in room temp if you don't have a fridge. And there's always fruit. Oh, and there are these things called Fuze juices that I like that have a bunch of vitamins and calcium. :)
