Review: Strictly Sundays

Strictly Sundays by Joe Fitzpatrick, photography by Steven Potter
Genre: cook book
Rating: 3/5

strictly sundays

Strictly Sundays is a small cook book with many fancy formal dishes that sound (and look!) fantastic. Some of the more interesting recipes include Mustard seed pancakes with smoked salmon and caviar, mouth watering Kolbi Marinade, and a delightful looking Pulled Pork.

The only downside to the cookbook is that there were no dessert recipes. Sunday dessert is just as important as the meal, right? I was a bit disappointed to see that. However, any cook able to follow the recipes in the book and make one of the beautiful, appealing (and frankly, to an inexperienced cook like myself, slightly intimidating) meals can also throw together something for after.

Strictly Sundays will stay in my kitchen for formal events and special occasions.

Recommendation: Ages 16+ with intermediate cooking skills and some experience.
